Start with 15 pentagons:

We want to see how many chunks of 5 we can make out of 15 things!

We can divide 15 things into 3 chunks of 5.

15 pentagons split into three sets of 5 pentagons

15/5=3


Now, let's see how many times 3 will go into 15.

15/3=

Start with 15 circles:

15 circles

We want to see how many chunks of 3 we can make out of 15 things!

We can divide 15 things into 5 chunks of 3.

15 circles split into five chunks of three circles

15/3=5
