Coolmath's Fractals |

| What are fractals? The easiest
way to explain them is that they are pictures made with math! Like this...
Pretty cool, huh? They were discovered just 20 or so years ago by a man named Benoit Mandelbrot (that's French). The reason that they weren't discovered before this is that you need a computer to make them! I've really been beefing up the fractal area over on the main Coolmath.com site, so I'm just going to send you over there to check it out.
